Blowing Rocks Preserve

Less than a half hour away, Blowing Rocks Preserve is renowned for its variety of endangered plants and animals, including rare sea turtles. Visit the education center and take in 50-foot sprays of saltwater that occur when the Atlantic breaks against the shoreline. You can also explore hiking trails and swim, snorkel, and scuba dive off the protected beach.

Burt Reynolds Park

Named after the legendary actor, Burt Reynolds Park is about a 20-minute drive on South Florida’s Intracoastal Waterway. It hosts every amenity needed for the quintessential waterfront park day: boat ramps and slips, a kayak/canoe launch, picnic areas, a playground, sand volleyball, and horseshoe pits. Saltwater fishing is also allowed (licensing may apply).
