Boats & Fishing

Take a ride of a lifetime through the Everglades with Airboat Rides West Palm Beach (40min drive). Their private airboat rides offer an in-depth look at the vast ecosystem of the Florida Everglades. Private airboat rides and tours are available for corporate events, families, and couples.

Narrated sightseeing cruises and private charters by Palm Beach Water Taxi (20min drive) give you a view to Palm Beach from the water, with sport fishing and sailboat charters (20mins) also available at the marina. Learn about Florida’s first designated National Wild and Scenic River at River Center (15mins), where interactive exhibits and live tanks tell of the watershed’s history and significance.

Event Venues

Palm Beach County Convention Center is a 350,000-square-foot meeting space and exhibit hall, just three miles from Palm Beach International Airport and only 20 minutes from our resort. Watch a race (or sign up for driving school) at Palm Beach International Raceway (20mins). The track hosts national and local events on its drag strip, road course, kart track, and mud bog.

Palm Beach Kennel Club (15mins) has year-round greyhound racing, as well as a poker room and two restaurants. Roger Dean Stadium (15mins) is the only stadium in the country that hosts two spring training and two minor league teams: the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals in spring, plus the teams’ Single-A affiliates (the Jupiter Hammerheads and the Palm Beach Cardinals).

Museums

Take the tour, dine in the café, and attend a concert or lecture at Henry Morrison Flagler Museum (30mins): The railroad magnate’s Palm Beach manse, Whitehall, is an architectural masterpiece of the Gilded Age.

A rich cultural programming and permanent international collection can be found at Norton Museum of Art (20mins). This fascinating West Palm Beach attraction features painting, photography and sculpture, as well as names like Matisse, Picasso, O’Keeffe, and Pollock. At Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum (25mins), you can view exhibits, explore the nationally conserved grounds, and take a climbing tour to the top of this 1860 lighthouse.

Nature & Outdoor Adventures

Lion Country Safari (40mins) offers drive- and walk-through safaris amid replicated African, Indian, and South American habitats for lions, zebras, and other species in Loxahatchee. Palm Beach Zoo (26mins) is a West Palm Beach attraction that shelters more than 1,400 animals across 23 tropical acres. Plus, it includes kid-pleasers like interactive fountains and a carousel.

Explore marine life, guided tours, children’s story time, and more at Loggerhead Marinelife Center (20mins), a conservation center with a special focus on sea turtles in Juno Beach. Or step into the great outdoors at Mounts Botanical Garden (30mins), a 14-acre tropical oasis of display gardens, exhibits, nursery sales, and over 2,000 species of plants.

Nightlife

In downtown West Palm Beach, restaurants, bars, clubs — and a see-and-be-seen crowd — congregate along Clematis Street (30mins). On Thursday evenings, the popular Clemantis by Night free concert series is held in Centennial Square. “West Palm’s favorite Thursday night tradition for more than 20 years” features live music, food and drink specials, and a fantastic seaside location for happy hour.

Some of our favorite local restaurants and bars include The Cooper Restaurant, La Masseria, Waterway Cafe, Rocco’s Tacos and Tequila Bar, Spotos Oyster Bar, and Square Grouper Tiki Bar (Jupiter Inlet location) for a great, laid-back beach bar.

Performing Arts

iThink Financial Amphitheatre is an open-air venue welcoming touring acts and up to 19,000 fans with spectacular views of West Palm Beach. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is West Palm Beach’s home for the performing arts, from touring acts to local companies including Miami City Ballet, Palm Beach Opera, and Palm Beach Pops.

Jupiter’s professional theater Maltz Jupiter Theatre stages plays, musicals, talkbacks and children’s matinees throughout its annual seasons. The area’s resident company, Palm Beach Opera annually presents main stage productions, special events, and National Opera Week.
